The Township of New Hanover received your Open Public Records Act request

Your OPRA request sought access to: All records regarding the law suit by
Gary Timmons.
Your request is denied as it is impermissibly overbroad and/or does not
identify or describe with any specificity or particularity the records
sought. Public agencies are required to disclose only identifiable record
and does not require the Custodian of Records to conduct research in
response to an OPRA request. See, MAG Entertainment, LLC v. Division of
Alcohol Beverage Control, 375 N.J. Super. 534, 547 (App. Div. 2005) (“OPRA
does not require records custodians to conduct research among its records
for a requestor and correlate data from various government records in the
custodian’s possession”); Gannett New Jersey Partners, L.P. v. County of
Middlesex, 379 N.J. Super. 205, 212 (App. Div. 2005) (“OPRA requires a
party requesting access to a public record to specifically describe the
document sought”); Lagervist v. Office of the Governor of New Jersey, 443
N.J. Super. 230, 237 (App. Div. 2015) (“[a] requestor is obliged to
identify the documents sought with some particularity…”).
