Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:
Pursuant to the Open Public Records Act, I request copies of the following records maintained by the Franklin Lakes Police Department that were in effect from January 1, 2023 through the present:

1. The Franklin Lakes Police Department Rules and Regulations, including all amendments, revisions, directives, and general orders modifying or supplementing the Rules and Regulations.

2. The Franklin Lakes Police Department Internal Affairs Policy and Procedures, including all revisions, directives, appendices, and amendments.

3. The Franklin Lakes Police Department Code of Ethics and any policies governing conflicts of interest, incompatible public employment, or the reporting of policy violations or misconduct.

If any of the requested policies were revised during the requested time period, please provide each version that was in effect during that period, together with the effective date of each version.
