We're waiting for Alex Jerome to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Bridgeton City,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:

"To Whom It May Concern,

Pursuant to the Open Records Act, I formally request the following records related to the incident specified below:

911 call related to the incident
Body-worn camera (BWC) footage from the first responding squad and any subsequent BWC footage related to the arrest
Dashcam footage from the first responding squad
Arrest video
Complete and unredacted incident report

Additionally, please include the police report from the primary officer or the probable cause statement.

Incident Details:
Suspect Name: James E. Snead Jr
Title of case: Armed And Dangerous' Teen At Large After Killing Man In South Jersey: Police
State, City: BRIDGETON, NJ
Link of Articles: https://patch.com/new-jersey/haddon/arme...
Charges Description: Armed, Dangerous' NJ Teen At Large After Shooting A Man Dead: Police | Haddonfield, NJ Patch
Police Department: Bridgeton Police Department

If your agency does not use body-worn cameras, please confirm this fact. If no BWC footage exists, I may cancel the request unless the responding officers were state troopers, in which case I still request the state trooper dashcam footage.

The records provided should be unredacted. If any redactions are made, you are required to provide a specific legal justification for each redaction under applicable open records laws. Simply citing general privacy concerns is not sufficient. All video footage, including BWC, dashcam, and interrogation recordings, should also be unredacted unless legally justified.

If there are any fees for searching or copying the records, please notify me before processing the request. However, I respectfully request a waiver of all fees as the disclosure of this information serves the public interest and contributes to transparency in law enforcement actions.

I appreciate your prompt attention to this request and look forward to your response.

My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

Yours faithfully,
Alex Jerome
