Flood Control Commissions 2024 Meeting Schedules
Dear Middlesex County,
Under OPRA and the common law right of access, please provide a current copy of the list of all scheduled public meetings of:
1) Green Brook Flood Control Commission
2) South Central Middlesex Flood Control Commission
If the schedules are unclear about the location/method(s) of meeting, I kindly ask that you clarify for me how to join and participate, and feel free to share links that can help members of the public to join and/or watch the meetings, or to watch them after they conclude.
If no current schedule(s) exist, please provide a copy of the board's most recent public meeting notice.
Thank you very much for your time and attention to this request.
Yours faithfully,
Charlie Kratovil

Dear Mr. Kratovil :
We received your recent OPRA request regarding “a current copy of the list
of all scheduled public meetings of: 1) Green Brook Flood Control
Commission 2) South Central Middlesex Flood Control Commission”.
Please be advised that the County of Middlesex does not maintain these
documents. Therefore, we cannot fulfill your OPRA request. Please note,
the Green Brook Flood Control Commission is not a Middlesex County Board;
therefore, we are not the custodian of their meeting materials.
Thank you,

Dear Middlesex County OPRA Center,
I received the message from Ms. Link. Can you please direct me to who is the correct custodian of records for each flood control commission? Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
Charlie Kratovil

Dear Mr. Kratovil,
The Green Brook Flood Control Commission is its own entity, separate from
Middlesex County. You would have to contact them directly for any of their
meeting materials.
The records you requested for the South Central Middlesex Flood Control
Commission have passed the retention guidelines and are no longer
available.
Thank you,

Dear Middlesex County OPRA Center,
I'm sorry but the response doesn't make sense to me, as my request was for the *2024* schedule of meetings. What is the retention guideline for such a record? Are you saying that this commission is defunct and doesn't have any 2024 records? Are you saying the commission's records have been destroyed?
Yours sincerely,
Charlie Kratovil

Dear Mr. Kratovil,
There is no 2024 meeting notice. Your request states “If no current
schedule(s) exist, please provide a copy of the board's most recent public
meeting notice.” The most recent public meeting notice is past its
retention and has been destroyed.
Thank you,
Emily Link
