Good Afternoon,

I’m a citizen video journalist. I’m not affiliated with the videographer in any way, shape, or form. It appears that the gentleman was upset over a ‘discretionary’ traffic ticket. It appears that the officer who issued the ticket unnecessarily escalated the situation with the gentleman.

It appears that different government employees unnecessarily escalated the situation for one reason or another. It appears that the gentleman was a victim of an ‘alleged’ assault as well. I’m not condoning the gentleman’s overall attitude either.

I would like to take the time to educate the town on the first amendment, the freedom of the press, and etc in order to avoid situations like these in the future. There are going to be more citizens filming within public accessible areas of government buildings and document their interactions with government employees throughout the State of New Jersey……..and it’s already happening.
