Favoritism and special treatment due to nepotism due to dating relationships, friendships, and family relationships.

We're waiting for Anonymous to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Red Bank Borough,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

It was recently brought to our attention that the Red Bank Chief of Police / Red Bank Business Administrator is engaged to be married to a current subordinate police officer who was until recently married to another subordinate police officer.

Your last response of “ Fails to seek specific identifiable
government records, the Complainant's request is overly broad and is therefore invalid under OPRA” is understood.

Due to recent information, more information is requested.

Hopefully this is more specific and our request is granted.

1.) We are requesting specifically text messages between the Red Bank Boro administrator / the Red Bank police chief , and the Red Bank police captains, on Boro issued cellular telephones between the dates of October 1, 2022 through May 25,2023.

Subject matter to include text messages in regards to employee hours worked , Boro funded trip to DC, special assignments given to employees, employee promotions, employee promotional process, favoritism due to dating relationships, favoritism due to family relationships, texts regarding active and past employees, and texts involving the Police Chief / Boro Administrator , his fiancé and his fiancé’s exhusband.

2,) We do not have the names of these subordinates but based on the Boro dating policy we are requesting the paper work advising the Boro of these dating relationships.

Yours faithfully,

Anonymous

Dear Red Bank Borough,

Have you had the opportunity to review our request. It has been 23 days ( 16 business days) since the initial email has been sent to your office.

We understand it may take time to accumulate the data but has been past the 7 day period for a receipt response.

Yours faithfully,

Anonymous

Having conferred with the new borough counsel the response
for 2023-05-30f remains the same.

If they feel that the request for access to a government record has been
improperly denied or unfilled within the seven (7) business days required
by law, they have a right to challenge the decision of the Borough of Red
Bank to deny access.  I have attached the link from the Government Records
Council regarding the process to file a complaint.
