With regards to item 5, “Copies of all messages and author's names sent
via the Middle Township Police Department's facebook messenger and
responses for the time period of 1-1-2018 to 7-13-2018,” there are a total
of 55 pages of messages received. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.1, Criminal
investigatory records, we will be withholding 24 pages of those messages
that contain criminal activity tips and information. With regards to the
other 31 pages that are eligible for release, we will be required to
redacting the names and profile pictures of those individuals that have
provided the exempt tips, therefore, although you have requested that
these records be provided electronically the cost associated with this
request is $1.55 due to required redactions. We ask that you please
acknowledge this fee via email first, then make payment payable to the
Township of Middle, addressed to the mailing address listed below. Once
received we will then forward the documents to your email address
provided.
