I will be working on and implementing a new policy that covers our Oceanport Police Facebook page, its oversight, retention, use, moderation, posting requirements, and administration.

Until that time the following shall be followed:

Anyone that views the website and observes questionable or inappropriate replies, comments or posts that fall within those listed below shall notify Sgt. Tucci and myself via email.

No one will block or remove any posts. This will be done only after a review of the material by Sgt. Tucci and/or myself.

I will be setting who the administrators will be and the policy will state the parameters of their functions and oversight of the page.

As per our Facebook page user  guidelines-content published is subject to monitoring and can be removed by the administrator when:

• is off-subject or out of context

• contains obscenity or material that appeals to the prurient interest

• contains personal identifying information or sensitive personal information

• contains offensive terms that target protected classes

• is threatening, harassing or discriminatory

• incites or promotes violence or illegal activities

• contains information that reasonably could compromise individual or public safety

• advertises or promotes a commercial product or service, or any entity or individual

• promotes or endorses political campaigns or candidates
