Dear Rick Cuttrell,

Thank you for providing some of the records. You responded by saying 1 did not exist. Facebook works one way for everyone. I have had the same response from other police departments. They made the same mistake. I will be glad to send you the records I have received after receiving the same response. The record I asked for is associated with the original administration account called block users. It is a separate list. It does exist. I have received it from other agencies. Facebook works one way for everyone. If you would like, you only have to send me the administrator password and access I can get the record from my home. That might not be ok with you. I must assume no malice is intended. Please if you would like me to help you get the record I asked for please say so.
This is the response from another agency after the same confusion
"I have been in continued contact with our Public Information Office on your request. Speaking further with their unit, they were able to confirm the list provided to you was from just the LMPD Facebook page’s settings. They then performed a search of the administrative account or what you call “original account” and found a separate blocked/banned list. I am attaching this list for your review. The way Facebook creates this list does not allow for a timeframe search, so you are being provided the list in its entirety from the administrative account. I apologize for any confusion with our responses.0ours sincerely,"

I will send you the record called block users from another agency if you need it as a reference. Of course Facebook only works one way. So it must exist. If the list has anyone on it it will reflect it as the other banned list showed.

Please look further into this
Peace to you.

Thank you for the clarification. After speaking with the Public Information Bureau, it was determined that the original administrative account which created the NTPD’s Facebook page had a separate block list attached to it, which consists of the users “John Van Dyk” and “Household Enforceable”. For the purposes of researching this request, the block list on the original administrative account was cleared of all names and the page settings of the NTPD Facebook page were re-reviewed. Upon secondary review, it was determined that the name(s) blocked on the original administrative account were not viewable on the page’s blocked list until they were removed from the secondary block list on the administrative account. As such, one additional name was discovered to be on the NTPD page’s blocked list, “John Van Dyk” showing a block date of May 2016. Due to the fact that this user was blocked prior to the implementation of the NTPD’s Standard Operation Procedure regarding Social Media, which sets guidelines regarding when a user can be blocked and that the user was previously not visible due to the restrictions of the original administrative account, the Public Information Bureau deemed it appropriate to unblock the user “John Van Dyk” aka “John Shagwell” as of this date in accordance with the current policy. We apologize for the confusion and the initial response which was incomplete due to the fact that the complete block list was not viewable.
