Ethics Board decision and minutes

The request was successful.

Please accept this as my request for government records under both OPRA and the common law right of access. Thank you very much for your commitment to transparent government.

BACKGROUND:

I mid-January, I received a December 22, 2022 letter from the Borough that said that a Final Decision regarding my December 30, 2021 ethics complaint had been resolved by a Final Decision adopted by the Ethics Board at its December 5, 2022 meeting. However, no Final Decision accompanied the December 22, 2022 letter. On January 16, 2023, I e-mailed Clerk Kerry Quinn and informed her of the fact that the Final Decision was not sent to me and requested a copy. Unfortunately, Ms. Quinn did not respond to my January 16, 2023 e-mail. My common law interest claim supporting disclosure of the Final Decision is because the Borough intended for me to have it by virtue of its December 22, 2022 letter.

RECORDS REQUESTED:

1. The Final Decision referred to in the Borough's December 22, 2022 letter.

2. The minutes, both public and nonpublic (closed or executive) of the December 5, 2022 Ethics Board meeting.
