Dear Sparta Township,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

I checked the Sussex County Clerk's Office digital records exhaustively prior to making this request. The Deed states clearly that the item was recorded with Sparta Township with a record number and specific date and associated address(es)/Block/Lot. After searching in-person at the Sussex County Clerk's Office, obtaining assistance and advice from there and upon visiting the Sparta Township Clerk's Office where I requested access to any physical records, I was unable to find this record.

Therefore, I am respectfully asking to escalate this request. If there are physical records at the Sparta Township municipal building, may I be granted access? Can we request assistance from the Township Engineer
and/or the Township Attorney? Please let me know as agreements such as these, that run with the land in perpetuity, are crucial to understanding current and future uses and any existing encumbrances.
