Dear Jackson Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Jackson Township records custodian received your Open Public Records Act
(“OPRA”) request, 2026-010 on January 6, 2026. The seven-business day
deadline to respond to your request is January 15, 2026. (Holiday's
excluded)
OPRA allows the records custodian to seek extensions of time pursuant to
N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.-i.
Please be advised that the Township anticipates requiring an extension
until January 23, 2026 to compile, review, and redact (if necessary) the
potentially responsive records in accordance with New Jersey law. The
Township also reserves the right to request an additional extension of
time, if necessary. See Scheeler v. New Jersey Department of Educ., GRC
Complaint No. 2014-123 (2016).

The salary portion of my request requires an immediate response.
The contract should be readily available as it is simply a document that should be on file with the township. Please provide ASAP or a complaint to the GRC will be forthcoming.
