This email is to acknowledge receipt of your OPRA request dated and received via email on 12/7/2017.
Please be advised that, according to the Government Records Council publication, “A Citizen’s Guide to the Open Public Records Act,” OPRA requests must be specific:
Requestors must be as specific as possible when requesting records. For example, requestors must identify types of records, dates, parties to correspondence, subject matter, etc. However, requestors may not know the names of certain records. The spirit of OPRA implies that custodians assist requestors with identifying the records they are seeking, although a custodian’s failure to do so is not a violation of OPRA.
Searches, requests for information or requests that ask questions are NOT valid OPRA requests.
Your request for "personnel and pension records" is consider too vague.
However, I forwarded your request to the appropriate department to see if they could identify a record that would provide the information you had requested and they responded with the attached document(s). While it may not provide all of the requested information, we believe this is the record that most closely matches your request.
To the best of my knowledge, no other records exist that would be responsive to your request. If you are aware of a specific document that you believe has been omitted, please clearly identify that record by name, date and subject matter.
This will close this OPRA request.
