Therefore, there will likely be a fee for the production. Depending on how time-consuming such records are to search for, pull and redact, we may need to hire someone. It is also likely to take several days' worth of an employee's time, which we are entitled to charge for such voluminous work.

I will let you know the hourly charge for a worker/labor and an estimate of the hours involved in responding shortly. Assuming you approve of these charges, we will proceed with your request. Please feel free to reach out to me to discuss at any time.

Good afternoon,

As previously advised, the search parameters used resulted in more than 1000 emails. Notably, because the search terms included "Sweeney" and "Center," it is anticipated that extensive review will be needed to redact many of these emails as not relevant and/or duplicative. This will take approximately 8 hours of time at a rate of $25.00 to review, redact and produce the emails. The total fee will be approximately $200.00. Pursuant to OPRA, Rowan is allowed to charge the actual and direct cost for an extraordinary expenditure of time and effort. If there is an objection to the cost, the request is considered closed and the material will not be made available to the requester.

If you decide to proceed, Rowan will be able to perform the review on or before June 27,2022.

Please advise whether NJANON wishes to proceed with the request.

Good afternoon,

I was able to complete the review of the emails. At this point, I need to print out all of the emails for the redactions and to scan them in order to produce them to you. I work from home and do not have the equipment needed to print out and scan all of the pages. We are working on this but it will be very time consuming due to the sheer number of pages for all of the emails.

In light of the above, I will need one more very short extension until the end of the week to get everything to you. Please advise if you have any objection to an additional 3 days or until July 15, 2022 for Rowan to provide its response.

If we do not hear otherwise, we will assume there is no objection to our request.

My apologies for the difficulty you are having and/or for any miscommunication on Rowan's part. As an initial matter, we received a money order with no identification or indication of what it was to be used for. There was no cover letter nor was the money order itself marked in any way with a reference to your OPRA request. Once I determined (through investigation) that the money order was linked to your request, I reached out to ask how you wanted the information sent. You advised that you would like to pick it up from our office. Unfortunately, the General Counsel's office is not equipped to handle unannounced visitors, and I was not present in the office when you sent someone. As previously advised, please simply let me know when you would like to pick the drive up so that I can make arrangements to be present and/or have someone be available to give the drive to you.

Moreover, the person you assigned to pick up the jump drive indicated that he wished to have a jump drive with the google link on it. This makes no sense as a link is meant to be accessed through the internet and we can simply email you the link.

I am happy to mail you a jump drive, or you can make an appointment to pick it up in person from my office. Unfortunately, you will need to make an appointment to retrieve anything from our office. It does not have to be more specific than a day of the week, and I will expect you between the hours of 9-4.
