Dear Rochelle Park Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Good morning,
The Clerk’s office is in receipt of your OPRA request dated October 9,
2025.
Currently, your request fails to identify with reasonable clarity the
specific government records sought, as is required by Bent v. Stafford
Police Department, 381 N.J.Super. 30, 37 (App. Div. 2005). At this time,
we request clarification of your OPRA request for the following:
“I am seeking the email(s) mentioned at last nights meeting sent to
committee members from resident Jack Renner.”
For copies of the emails, kindly provide clarification as to dates and
specific subject matter. For example, “e-mails to and from Individual A
and Jack Renner between mm/dd/yyyy – mm/dd/yyyy with search terms ‘x’ ‘y’
and ‘z’.”
Please respond in writing and identify the specific government records
sought so that we may process your request. Failure to provide written
clarification will result in the closure of this OPRA request.

Dear Michaela Genneken,
The email in question would be during the week prior to the October 8th 2025 meeting.
The email was in reference to Miss Appice and her contacting CPS on the mentioned above speakers at township meeting. The lawyer spoke of this email so you are fully aware of what this request seeks. Ask any council member or the Mayor and they can give you this email. Committee members emails fall under OPRA laws and must not be used to shield Miss Appice and the public’s right to know.

Good afternoon Ms. Susan,
Thank you for sending clarification of your request on October 16, 2025.
Your request requires additional time beyond the seven (7) business days to fulfill as the Committee is performing a search of their records. Any responsive document(s) will then be reviewed by the Township attorney before release.
