I am happy to discuss any items, of course, but please be aware of the following:

1) I, like any member of the public, can contact teachers and staff through their publicly available emails. I will absolutely refuse to stop contacting teachers, and in fact, I think I am going to send them a monthly newsletter from me, to discuss those items important to our Bridgewater community.

2) I am interacting with school teams, which we have done through coordination with the athletic director and coaches, receiving permission from those groups. If such interactions require superintendent permission, please provide me the policy that would direct as such. In the meantime, please confirm that you or the Board no longer wishes me to demonstrate support for our athletic teams to offer them good luck and encouragement. I want to make sure I am clear on the Board's position so when I put out our next press release stating that the Board does not want the mayor to support the athletic teams I don't get it wrong. When I cancel with the Boys Varsity Team on Saturday, I want to make sure I can clearly communicate why the Board does not want the mayor to meet with them to wish them luck on their season.

3) I have not contacted bus companies. I contacted a friend of mine who is a lobbyist for a bus company to try to gain an understanding about the bus shortage. My feedback was that many bus companies do not want to do business in Bridgewater because they feel they were treated unfairly last year. Please be aware that I have not had any meetings with bus companies to discuss Bridgewater's current situation. However, also be aware, that I will meet with whatever companies I want, whenever I want to meet with them. I suggest that the Board members focus more on opening up our Middle School and providing education to our children, and less time worrying about my attempts to support our teachers and student athletes.

I need to set up a meeting with you regardingafew urgent matters that have come to myattention over the last two weeks. These matters are centered around unauthorized contact and communication with students and school employees.

1. A letter was sent to the entire faculty duringthe first week of school that was notauthorized by the board of education or the
superintendent of schools.
2. It has come to myattention thatyou are interacting with athletics teamsat the high school. Again, permission was no tasked for or granted by the superintendent of schools.
3. It is my understanding that you contacted several bus companies that have done business with Bridgewater-Raritan in the past for reasons that are unclear.

Therefore, Iam requestingthat we set up a meetingto discuss these matters in atimely manner. I will reach outviatext message as well.
Additionally, you are to cease any meetingsand orcommunications with studentgroups or employees withoutauthorization from the
Superintendent of Schools.
