Your OPRA request requires additional time beyond the seven (7)
business days for legal review. OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions
of time pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i. Specifically, OPRA states that,
“the requestor shall be advised by the custodian when the record can be
made available. If the record is not made available by that time, access
shall be deemed denied.”
Your request requires an extension of time until Wednesday,
November 9th.

Communications Between the Township of Piscataway and PBA Local #93".
Certain emails between the PBA and other police officers have not been
provided as they are exempt from disclosure pursuant to the Workplace
Democracy Enhancement Act:
The home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, and
negotiation units and groupings of employees, and the emails or other
communications between employee organizations and their members,
prospective members, and non-members, are not government records and are
exempt from any disclosure requirements of P.L.1963, c.73 (C.47:1A-1 et
seq.). N.J.S.A. § 34:13A-5.13. (Emphasis Added).
