Dear Monmouth County CARE,
The City of Asbury Park received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA)
request dated
July 1, 2019 regarding "redacted incident and/or police reports for all
Drug Possession arrests and summonses for drugs in Asbury Park, NJ that
police responded between the dates of: January 1, 2019 through June 25,
2019."
Due the voluminous size of the request an extension of time is necessary.
A response will be provided to you on or before July 15, 2019.

I am in receipt of your OPRA request dated July 1, 2019 requesting, “the
redacted incident and/or police reports for all Drug Possession arrests
and summonses for drugs in Asbury Park, NJ that police responded between
the dates of: January 1, 2019 through June 25, 2019. Please include the
detailed summary, arrestees names, blotter info and CAD call, as well as
arresting officer names.”
Please be advised that due to the voluminous nature of this request, our
original extension of July 15, 2019 is still not enough time to fully
gather this information. The Police Records department is currently
operating with one records clerk who is processing and redacting over 300
cases. This will require an additional 2 weeks extension.
Please note that this is not a denial of your request; however, just an
extension of time to fulfill your request which will be responded by July
29, 2019.
