DPW Overtime for Municipal Building Roof
Dear Rochelle Park Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
From January 1 2021 - June 1 2026 How many times was the DPW called in after business hours to deal with the roof leaking and how much was spent in that Overtime.
All police records/reports in regards to the Municipal building roof leaking, mold and water damage.
Cost of repairs
Cost of final roof replacement

The Township of Rochelle Park Records Custodian received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request on 6/29/26. As such, the seven (7) business day deadline to respond to your request is today, 7/9/26 as the Township office was closed on 7/3/26 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
Your request sought the following records:
“From January 1 2021 - June 1 2026 How many times was the DPW called in after business hours to deal with the roof leaking and how much was spent in that Overtime.
All police records/reports in regards to the Municipal building roof leaking, mold and water damage.

Cost of final roof replacement.”
Your request requires an extension of time through Wednesday, July 22, 2026, as the finance department is currently compiling the responsive emails. Upon receipt, the Township Attorney must review the records for any necessary redactions prior to release.
