Dear Atlantic City,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

1. Any and all documents related to litigation caused by the civil service promotional system utilized in the past by the Atlantic City Police Department. Documents include, bills, invoices,tort claims, lawsuits filed by promotional candidates, settlements and or total cost of litigation. Date of request; 1 January 2000, until the implementation of the MSRA.

2. Any and all documentation which reflects a cost savings for the City of Atlantic City due to the elimination of the civil service promotional process used in the Atlantic City Police Department. Specifically, e-mail, invoices,bills,cost of litigation,tort claims,lawsuit service and or a certified cost analysis of savings. Date of request; from the implementation date of the MSRA.

3. This request is in response to claims made by Ron Israel in a recent court hearing indicating the substantial "cost of past litigation due to the civil service promotional system".
