Documentation of Settlements and Documentation of Funds Disbursement
Dear Piscataway Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

- Documentation of all legal settlements authorized (resolutions) by the Township Council from CY 2020 to present
- Documentation of funds disbursement for all above settlements with cost center/budget line source listed if/when available

Please advise specifically what kind of settlements you are seeking. Are you just seeking personnel settlements? Please note that if you are seeking all settlements (which includes tax appeal settlements) there may be a special service charge.

I am requesting information specifically pertaining liability claims settlements which would include personnel settlements along with all other settlements resulting from claims against the Township of Piscataway. Please do not include tax settlements. My apologies for the lack of clarity in my initial request.

Thank you for your clarification. Your OPRA request requires additional time beyond the seven (7) business days to research the responsive documents. OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i. Specifically, OPRA states that, "the requestor shall be advised by the custodian when the record can be made available. If the record is not made available by that time, access shall be deemed denied."

I have reviewed the provided records and I believe "Exhibit A" from the Shaan Realty settlement as it is both reference in the resolution and the resolution included no dollar amount not fulfilling the request for documentation regarding the disbursement of funds. Please advise if "Exhibit A" can be made available.
