Dear Howell Township,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested: I am requesting all documentation held by the township of the number of hours retired Captain Mark Pilecki spent sleeping in the parking lot, his office, or by the gas pumps during the course of his career.

In addition I am requesting any documentation held by the township of the number of hours retired Howell Township police officer Mark Pilecki spent in cut off jean shorts and a white t-shirt while he was being paid by Howell Township to be a “professional and competent” officer.

Sleeping on duty in shorts and a t-shirt is quality leadership. I have no idea how the township didn’t pick him to be the next chief after you forced THE FELON to leave.

Just trying to make sense of it all.
