Records requested:
1. I seek your police department’s Internal Affairs Annual Summary Reports for years 2014 to 2017.
2. I seek a copy of the police department's Public Synopsis of Disciplinary Actions for years 2014 to 2017. This report is required pursuant to Requirement 10 of the Attorney General’s Internal Affairs Police.
3. I seek a copy of the police department’s Vehicular Pursuit Summary Reports for years 2014 to 2017.
4. I would like all of your police department’s Use of Force Reports from January 1, 2014 to present date.
5. I would like all of your police department’s Police Use of Deadly Force Attorney General Deadly Notification Reports for years 2014 to 2017.
6. I seek the annual basic police academy training, annual firearms requalification training, use of force training, vehicular pursuit training, domestic violence training, cultural diversity training, bias intimidation crimes training, Breathalyzer training, 911 dispatcher and call-taker training, K-9 training recertification certificates for all of the police officers in your police department for the year 2017.

Dear Time-to Change – Jersey Style:
This e-mail correspondence confirms receipt of your OPRA request seeking
various Police Department reports and certificates. For ease of
reference, we will respond to Items 1-6 individually.
1. Please see the attached records in responsive to Item #1 of
your request.
2. Please be advised that there are no records in the Borough’s
possession responsive to Item #2 of your request.
3. Please see the attached records responsive to Item #3 of your
request.
4. Please see attached Use of Force Reports from January 1, 2014
to the date of your request in response to Item #4. Please be advised
that lawful redactions were made to remove personally identifying
information and information pertaining to juveniles. Specifically,
personally identifying information was redacted pursuant to N.J.S.A.
47:1A-1.1 (personally identifying information); N.J.S.A. 47:1A et. seq.
which provides that “…a public agency has a responsibility and an
obligation to safeguard from public access a citizen’s personal
information with which it has been entrusted when disclosure thereof would
violate the citizen’s reasonable expectation of privacy…”; Burnett v.
County of Bergen, 198 N.J. 408 (2009); and Executive Order #21 (obligation
to safeguard from public access a citizen’s personal information).
Additionally, Use of Force reports related to juveniles were redacted
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-9.a., N.J.S.A. 2A:4A-60 and Rivera v. Cliffside
Park Police Dep’t (Bergen), GRC Complaint No. 2010-275.
5. Please be advised that there are no records in the Borough’s
possession responsive to Item #5 of your request.
6. Please be advised that due to the large number of
certifications requested, the Borough will need an extension of time to
respond to Item #6. The Borough is continuing its search for responsive
documents and anticipates that same will be provided to you on or before
Friday, December 22, 2017.

various Police Department training. The following is a list of training
you have asked for on item #6:
1. Please see attached records for annual firearms requalification
training. In the training you will see that use of force training along
with vehicular pursuit training are included in firearms training.
2. Our annual Domestic Violence Training is conducted through Sussex
County Prosecutor’s office, the have record of our annual training.
3. Please see attached records for two new 911 dispatchers/call
takers hired in 2017.
4. There are no records for basic police academy training, cultural
diversity training, bias intimidation crimes training, breathalyzer
training, and K-9 training.
