Dear New Brunswick City,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Dear Requestor,
Be advised, the OPRA Request as written is not proper as the request seeks
information and not for a specific document or record as required by
statute. Although your request is deficient for the stated reason,
kindly see the attached list of dates that Code Blue has been called, thus
far, for the 2024-2025 season. While this document was created in
response to the first portion of your request, and is being provide as a
courtesy, be further advised that the City of New Brunswick is not
required to create a document in response to an OPRA request. For your
information, Code Blue is called directly by the Middlesex County Office
of Emergency Management and Preparedness, Department of Public Safety and
Health. Code blue declarations can be found online at
[1]middlesexcountynj.gov.
In regards to the second portion of your request, it is overly broad,
vague and lacks the specificity of a proper OPRA Request. A proper request
should identify the particular documents or records and the time frame for
which they are sought. However, assuming that your request is in regard
to the same 2024-2025 season be advised that there is currently no
document responsive to your request.
Regards,
Leslie R. Zeledón, City Clerk
