Dear Sparta Board of Education,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am responding to  your OPRA request dated May 7, 2025.  A seven business
day response is due to you today, May 16, 2025.  The current number of
employees in the NJEA collective bargaining unit for the Sparta School
District is as follows:

AFSCME - 58
Administrators - 13
Supervisors - 5
Total 591
We require a one week extension due to staffing regarding your request for
the current number of employees with NJEA dues withheld from their
paychecks.  You will receive a response by May 23rd.

Good Afternoon,
I am responding to your OPRA request dated May 7, 2025 on behalf of the
Custodian of Records, Barbara Decker.  We reached out to you on May 16th
and answered your request for the current number of employees in the NJEA
collective bargaining unit.  We extended our response regarding your
request for the current number of employees with NJEA dues withheld from
their paychecks to May 23, 2025.  We have 422 employees with NJEA dues
withheld from their paychecks.  This completes your OPRA request.
