After careful review from Planning/Zoning as well as the Tax Assessor
reviewing this OPRA request, we have found no responsive records.
The Tax Assessor did recommended possibly going to the Sussex County
Clerks Office to see if they have anything on file.

Dear Tyann Acevedo,
I checked the Sussex County Clerk's Office digital records exhaustively prior to making this request. The Deed states clearly that the item was recorded with Sparta Township with a record number and specific date and associated address(es)/Block/Lot. After searching in-person at the Sussex County Clerk's Office, obtaining assistance and advice from there and upon visiting the Sparta Township Clerk's Office where I requested access to any physical records, I was unable to find this record.
Therefore, I am respectfully asking to escalate this request. If there are physical records at the Sparta Township municipal building, may I be granted access? Can we request assistance from the Township Engineer and/or the Township Attorney? Please let me know as agreements such as these, that run with the land in perpetuity, are crucial to understanding current and future uses and any existing encumberances.

After finding nothing locally, I am back to trying to locate the original record which is clear in mentioning that an agreement was memorialized with Sparta Township regarding the subdivision. I understand that the attic at Town Hall may house some sort of archival records and so I request access to this so that I might locate the requisite record. I am, of course, willing to sign a hold harmless and follow whatever reasonable protocol to obtain said access and locate the desired record.
