Sir or Madam,

My office is in receipt of your request for records pursuant to the Open
Public Records Act (NJSA 27:1A-1), dated January 14^th, 2019.  The request
was received by my office on January 14^th, 2019. As such, the seven (7)
business day deadline to respond to your request is January 24^th, 2019.
This response is being provided on January 15^th, 2019.

The following specific record has been requested:

1.       "copies of email logs for the municipality's police chief from
December 1, 2018 to December 7, 2018. Please include sender, recipient,
date and subject."

Records responsive to your request, from Chief of Police Philip Meehan,
have been attached.

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the Hazlet Township Police Department
to deny access.  At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in
the Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.

answer other questions about the law.  All questions regarding complaints
