Contracts with Flock Group Inc (Flock Safety) and Data-Sharing Configuration Records
Dear North Brunswick Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
- All contracts, purchase orders, and agreements between North Brunswick Township (or its Police Department) and Flock Group Inc. (Flock Safety), including any amendments;
- Any Flock Safety data-sharing/network configuration records, including which outside agencies have been granted access to North Brunswick's Flock camera data, and any Flock Safety Transparency Portal export or usage report for North Brunswick PD;
- The name and contact information (title/department, not necessarily a personal phone/email) of North Brunswick Township Police Department's designated Agency ALPR Coordinator(s), as required under NJ Attorney General Law Enforcement Directive No. 2022-12;
- Any current written ALPR policy for North Brunswick Township Police Department, including data retention period and any data-sharing or interagency access provisions.
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by email as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
Yours faithfully,
Ayaan Lodhie
Good morning,
The Township of North Brunswick received your Open Public Records Act
(OPRA) request on 7/18/2026. Your OPRA request has been attached as a
quick reference for convenience.
Your request requires additional time beyond the seven (7) business days
from the original due date of 7/29/2026 to fulfill because it is a large
and extensive request that requires data collection and analysis. OPRA
allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A 47:1A-5.
i. Specifically, OPRA states that, “the requestor shall be advised by the
custodian when the record can be made available. If the record is not made
available by that time, access shall be deemed denied.” If the records are
received prior to the due date, they will be sent to you once received.
Your request requires an extension of time until August 7, 2026.

subject to the Open Public Records Act (OPRA). This means that, absent
some specific privileges, all such communications are considered a public
record and are subject to publication and/or dissemination to the public
upon request.
Dear North Brunswick Township,
That's alright, thank you for letting me know. I look forward to receiving these records on or before August 7th. If written approval is necessary:
I, Ayaan Lodhie, grant the Township of North Brunswick an extension of time until August 7th, 2026, to make the records requested available.
Sincerely,
Ayaan Lodhie
