Attention Yours Faithfully, BG Tierny:
We have reviewed your OPRA request dated 9/28/2023. Due to the breadth of
the request, we require an extension. The preliminary review of the
request, “…all email and telephone contact files…” has identified more
than 25,000 field(s). Each of the four individuals identified by you will
have to review their contacts to identify those who have conducted
business with the Township and therefore are “public records“ as defined
in the Open Public Records Act. Please note we anticipate a special
service charge of approximately $4,728.36 (50% or $2,364.18 due to the
Office of Municipal Clerk to be paid before your request is processed.)
The remainder of the Special Service Charge is payable at such time as the
Township completes the OPRA. If you wish to make a more focused request,
we can review and see if the special service charge can be reduced. Please
advise at your earliest convenience.

I’m specifically only requesting contacts etc on their township issued devices. There is no need for there to be a differentiation of personal vs business contacts then as it is all a matter of public record
No extension is granted and this is not an overly broad request with this narrowing of scope to deem a special charge appropriate.
