Just following up on this. when you have a chance, please reach out to Robert Mellett.

He is getting ready to demolish the Brookdale South Service area and want to coordinate disconnection of water and sewer. This was one reasons he wanted the manhole checked. He is also planning on disconnecting the water line and installing a temporary spigot after the meter that he can use during construction. I told him he can do that as long as he installs a backflow preventer on the unit.

Hello Joe,

Please see the e-mail below and the attachments. The site contractor for demolishing the old Brookdale service area noted that on of our manholes appears to be surcharged. The manhole appears to be to the left, once you enter the access roadway off of the parking stalls. The contractor cleared away the brush so he could get access to it.

Can you have the sewer department check the manhole and lines out. It may need to be cleared.

See snapshot of sanitary manhole outside our project limits. Also see attached email containing a few pictures I took after pulling cover of the clouded manhole in snap shot. Please call me at 908-510-8569 if you send anyone to investigate. We installed a temp construction gate at entrance, although you could access this manhole from outside the fence (walking).

Per our discussion I will be in touch regarding inspection of cut/cap.
