Communications to and from Pat Seybold and/or Jarid Kanton to Councilmen and Town Employees
Dear Livingston Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
In a previous request the town provided a document titled "Playing Politics Redacted Reduced.pdf" and in that document it revealed that both Pat Seybold and Jarid Kantor were also included in these email conversations, however their email addresses were redacted.
We are requesting all communications to/from Ms. Seybold and/or Mr. Kantor to Councilmen and Town Employees by searching for records using these aforementioned redacted email addresses. Please narrow your search to only those records and communications between September 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019.
Thank you in advance.
Yours faithfully,
LTown United

Dear LTown United
This comes in response to your OPRA request for "Communications to and
from Pat Seybold (sic) and/or Jarid (sic) Kantor to Councilmen and
Town Employees...between September 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019", received
Friday, September 24, 2021 at 9:24 a.m."
Contrary to your follow-up email dated October 2, 2021, in which you
assert "This request is overdue", please know the Township's response
under OPRA rules is due seven business days after receipt, or Tuesday,
October 5, 2021.
Please know that we have forwarded your request to our IT Department,
which has been retrieving and downloading the emails responsive to your
request, and which are being reviewed for any necessary redaction. As you
may know, we receive approximately 10 OPRA requests a day, a number of
which come from you, and we are doing our best to respond to all such
requests in a timely manner. Due to the high volume of such requests
received, and in light of the complexity of your request which seeks
communications between numerous individuals, we anticipate providing a
response to your request no later than Friday, October 15, 2021.
Thank you for your consideration.

Dear Glenn Turtletaub,
Thank you for your response. We don’t understand why you require an additional 10 days for such a straightforward request? If you in fact receive 10 OPRA requests a day you would have likely received more than 400-500 requests since we started making them and only about 10 would have been from our group. What’s the problem and why the pushback on our request for transparency?
Yours sincerely,
LTown United
