Dear Wall Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Any emails from the business administrator John Tobia ([email address]), Mayor Timothy Clayton ([email address]), Deputy Mayor Daniel Becht ([email address]), Committeewoman Erin Mangan ([email address]), Committeeman Timothy Farrell ([email address]), and Committeeman Kevin Orender ([email address]) to any member of the Monmouth County Sheriffs Office who has a email address ending in “mcsonj.org” including but not limited to Robert Dawson ([email address]), Theodore Freeman ([email address]), Darryl Breckenridge ([email address] ), Philip Meehan ([email address]), and Shaun Golden ([email address]) from 01/01/2025 to 12/02/2025

The Township is in receipt of your request. The Township is seeking clarification to conduct an email search; we will require the subject or keyword.
A valid request to conduct an email search contains the following:

Emails with the domain of @townshipofwall.com and @wallnj.gov are maintained by the Township. Emails sent to/from outside domains will be picked up if they have copied/sent to an email address with the township domain.
In addition, key word searches are extremely sensitive. For example, abbreviations like, “MV” for Motor Vehicle would pick up all emails that reference the letters “M” and “V” in sequence; producing thousands of results. Similarly, using employee titles like “Clerk” or “Collector” would likely produce all emails sent from those departments as they are a part of their signatures.
Upon receipt of this information, we will begin our search for responsive records. The more detailed the information provided will aid the search and quality of results. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq the Township is provided seven business days to respond upon receipt of clarification. Please be advised that if the Township does not receive written clarification by December 11, 2025, the Township will consider the request closed.
