Dear [email address],
Can you please clarify what is 'Minutes' 'Minutes (2)' and 'Minutes (3)'. Is 'total minutes' the total minutes of the footage or the time required to complete required redactions? What is the hourly rate you are using and the time required for redactions, so I can get a better understanding of the total cost figure in your attachment. Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
Ciaran Johnson
Good morning,
Please see the breakdown of the redaction costs for the body camera footage (BWC).
Each hour of video footage requires four hours of redaction time. The cost is calculated based on the records clerk hourly rate of $21.63.
For instance, case 2024-012275 includes 61 minutes of BWC footage, which is equivalent to 1.02 hours. Multiplying 1.02 hours by four gives us 4.08 hours.
Therefore, 4.08 hours at my hourly rate of $21.63 amounts to $88.25.
Sincerely,
K. Holly Mannel
