Code Violation List Request
Dear Westampton Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL use the requested government records for a commercial purpose (Real Estate).
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Code Violation List Request for 03/18/2026 to 04/27/2026. I kindly request a list of all UNRESOLVED or OPEN code violations (please do not include closed violations) for all properties in the city during this time period, specifically related to property maintenance, structural issues, and weeds. Please include descriptions of the violations, property addresses, and violation dates. I also prefer for the document to be sent here in OPRA not in my email (sometimes it does not appear in my inbox). Thank you so much!
Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
Yours faithfully,
charlotte
Good morning,
Please see below the list of Code Violations:
Neighbor at 107 Patterson
109 PATTERSON Property complained about broken gable, open
DR Maintenance/Grass shed, and issues with the property
being secure against rodents
This property isn`t being
maintained to acceptable
neighborhood appearance standards.
The yard specifically around back
and the side of the property.
I have lived next to this property
for 28 years and with the exception
of the years 2017 to 2024 this
property has always been an issue
in the neighborhood.
This property has been a rental
property for years and has never
really been maintained meaning
basic yard appearance, roof repair,
rodent control (Squirrels and
Mice).
The previous renters left the
backyard a complete mess leaving an
abandoned rabbit cage on the
property, two old grills, and
leaves and debris everywhere.
Recently there were new renters
living in the space however they
have failed to maintain basic yard
appearance also notably the side of
the property and the backyard.
Recycled can and other trash were
laying on their side with cardboard
debris scattered on the side of the
garage.
Besides the above-mentioned debris
issues there is also a very big
11 STEINWAY CT Debris on Property tree that has been uprooted from
the windstorms that we had about a
month ago that is in severe danger
of falling permanently. As of today
4-6-26, the tree is still leaning
and uprooted.
I am not sure how come the property
owner when renting this townhome
out fails to make periodic visits
to address some of these basic
issues.
Today 4-6-26 I have landscapers
coming to do work on my property
and yesterday and in order for them
to get to my backyard I had to move
the recycling cans in to create a
path for in order for them to get
through.
I have filed previous complaints
regarding this property before, and
the owner of this property still
fails to maintain basic yard and
home appearance standards.
If someone from the township could
take a ride out to this property to
get a view to see the debris in the
backyard, the cage sitting on the
top of the garage that looks
terrible, and the leaves,
cardboard, abandoned rabbit cage,
old grill, and trash that is in the
yard I would appreciate it.
