Code Violation List Request
Dear Folsom Borough,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL use the requested government records for a commercial purpose (Real Estate).
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Code Violation List Request for 08/06/2025 to 09/08/2025. I kindly request a list of all UNRESOLVED or OPEN code violations (please do not include closed violations) for all properties in the city during this time period, specifically related to property maintenance, structural issues, and weeds. Please include descriptions of the violations, property addresses, and violation dates. I also prefer for the document to be sent here in OPRA not in my email (sometimes it does not appear in my inbox). Thank you so much!

Dear Custodian of Records,
This is a request for government records under New Jersey's Open Public
Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 to 47:1A-13. In the alternative, and to the

Records Requested:
1. Copy of the "Open Tax Liens" file for Folsom, NJ. This is a report that
contains information about Open Tax Liens. Some Cities refer to this as
the "All Buyers" or "Unredeemed Tax Sale" Report. All liens please — both
municipal and outside/third-party. CSV or Excel preferred, PDF works too.
Format and Delivery:
Produce records electronically in their native or other machine-readable
format, such as PDF, CSV, or XLSX. Please use the "Reply" button to
deliver records via email.
Response Time:
OPRA requires a response as soon as possible, but not later than seven
business days after receipt. If any of the requested materials are subject
to immediate access under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5, such as budgets, bills,
vouchers, contracts, or minutes, please provide those promptly.
Fees:
Electronic delivery should be provided without charge except for actual
media cost when applicable. Do not incur any special service charge or
other cost without first sending an itemized written estimate and
receiving my approval.
Redactions and Denials:
If you withhold or redact any material, identify each record withheld or
redacted, state the specific legal basis for each withholding or redaction
with a citation to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 to 47:1A-13 or other law, and provide
the non-exempt portions that can be reasonably segregated. If no
responsive records exist, please provide a certification from the
custodian confirming a diligent search and stating that no responsive
records were found.
Rolling Production:
If some records can be produced sooner, please provide them on a rolling
basis while you complete the remainder.
Preferred Contact:
Direct questions or requests to narrow this request to me in writing so
there is a clear record of any clarification.
