Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.), I hereby request access to and copies of all government records, as defined under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.1, related to the following:
All records pertaining to any and all complaints, inquiries, violations, inspections, enforcement actions, notices, warnings, summonses, fines, penalties, or communications of any kind involving any property or address located on Weybridge Court, Deptford Township, Gloucester County, NJ 08096, for the period of January 1, 2023 through and including the present date.
This request specifically includes but is not limited to:
1. All complaint intake records, logs, tickets, or tracking entries
2. All code violation notices issued or drafted
3. All inspection reports, field notes, or site visit records
4. All internal memoranda, emails, notes, or communications among township staff regarding any complaint or property on Weybridge Court
5. All correspondence with any property owner, landlord, tenant, or third party regarding any Weybridge Court address
6. All records of fines, penalties, summonses, or court referrals
7. All records of any complaints that were closed, dismissed, or deemed unresolved and the basis for same
8. All records reflecting the current status of any open or pending complaints
9. Any records transmitted to or received from any other municipal, county, or state agency regarding any Weybridge Court property
Format:
I request all responsive records in electronic format (PDF or Excel) where available. Where records exist only in paper format, I request copies.
Regarding Any Denial:
If any record or portion thereof is denied, I request that you:
• Identify each record withheld
• Cite the specific statutory exemption relied upon pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(g)
• Confirm in writing whether the record exists even if it is being withheld
Please note that a blanket denial stating “we do not possess the documents” without further specificity does not constitute a legally sufficient response under OPRA and I will pursue all available remedies including appeal to the New Jersey Government Records Council and/or Superior Court if necessary.
I expect a response within the statutory seven (7) business day period as required by N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(i).

My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

With respect to your letter here are the following clarifications:

4. All internal memoranda, emails, notes, or communications among Deptford Twp Code Enforcement employees with any Deptford township staff regarding any property and all properties located on Weybridge Court.

8. All records reflecting the current status of any open or pending Deptford Code Enforcement complaints for Weybridge Court properties.

9. Any and all records transmitted to or received from any municipal, county, or state agency concerning complaints, investigations, inspections, code enforcement matters, violations, or other actions related to alleged violations of any local, county, or state law involving any property located on Weybridge Court, including but not limited to correspondence, reports, notices, and enforcement records.

Dear Deptford Township Clerk,

To the Records Custodian, Deptford Township:
This letter concerns my OPRA request submitted on May 6, 2026, via OPRA Machine.
On May 15, 2026 (the 7th business day), your office responded requesting a 30-day extension, without stating a specific reason for the extension as required under OPRA. Thirty days from your May 15 response was June 14, 2026. That date has passed with no records produced and no further communication.
The June 29, 2026 deadline referenced in your response is unsupported and inconsistent with the 30-day extension you cited. I do not accept that date as controlling.
I am demanding that you immediately:
1. Provide the specific basis for the extension granted;
2. Produce all responsive records without further delay;
3. Confirm whether any records have been withheld and the specific exemption relied upon, if so.
If records are not produced immediately, I intend to exercise my right under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-6 to file an action in Superior Court of New Jersey.
