Dear Miriam Stone,

Good morning. I would like to thank you for your firm’s reply dated 5/2/22 for the records requested in reference to the list female of policeofficers employed by the Township of Clark from 1980 to 2020, aside from a Susan Ricci.

In your response, you stated a Catherine Mitchell’s employment was “terminated through resignation” after being employed at the Clark Police Department from
1/8/91 through 9/1/02, a period of 11 years and 8 months.

A recently received response from the New Jersey Division of Pensions states Catherine Mitchell is received a public pension through the Police and Fire Retirement System after “retiring” from employment at the Township of Clark. Also, as part of the same inquiry, the NJ Div. Of Pensions shows Caherine Mitchell was credits 175 months of service, which 14 years and 6 months, not 11 years and 11 months.

Can you please confirm the reason her employment with ghe Township of Clark ended, since “resignation” and “retirement” are very diferent, especially when said party is collecting a public funded pension and is possibly receiving full or partial medical and/or prescription benefits paid for by the Township of Clark.

In addition, in order to ensure we obtained the correct information, due to the 3 years diference between both above mentioned responses, can your firm also confirm the length/period of Catherine Mitchell’s employment with the Township of Clark.
