Civilian Review Board/Police Advisory Boards

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Chester Township should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Mr. Michalowski,
This is in response to your OPRA request dated April 20, 2021, and
received by the Chester Township Custodian of Records on April 20, 2021. 
This response is being provided on the date of the receipt of your
request.
You requested the following:
"If your municipality has a police civilian review board, or police

Please be advised that there are no documents responsive to your request,
as Chester Township does not have a police civilian review board or a
police citizen advisory board.

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by Chester Township to deny access. At
your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the Superior Court
of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government Records Council
(“GRC”) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.  You may

other questions about the law.  All questions regarding complaints filed
