RE: OPEN PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST of April 21, 2021, Reference #
B001310-042121

Dear Mr. Michalowski,

The City received a public information request from you on April 21, 2021.
You requested:

If your municipality has a police civilian review board, or police citizen
advisory board could you please provide a copy of the ordinance/resolution
that formed the board and their by-laws.

The City has not yet created either a police civilian review board or a
police citizen advisory board as the City is still awaiting changes to
State law to authorize municipalities such as Jersey City to create such
boards. However, the City has reviewed its files and has located two
resolutions which are a step toward that goal. Please log in to the Jersey
City OPRA Center at the following link to retrieve them:

[2]Open Public Records Act - B001310-042121

This OPRA Request is now deemed closed.
Sincerely,

John Hallanan
Deputy City Clerk
Office of City Clerk
