Civil Service Hiring
Dear Lawrence Township (Mercer),

Records requested:
Please provide a list of all Lawrence Township Employees who were not hired via civil service. Please include the job announcements for these positions not covered by civil service or other verification of the hiring practices used to hire non civil service employees. Please include both full time and part time employees. Please provide these records from the beginning of Township Manager Nerwinski's tenure as municipal manager for the Township of Lawrence.

The Township is a Civil Service location, all employees are civil service employees.
The list of new hires for the period requested includes 135 seasonal-recreation employees working in the Township summer camps or assisting with other programs for a brief period.
Job openings are posted using the following:
NJ League of Municipalities, Indeed, Township Facebook page, Township electronic message board, Township website, Star Ledger, Trenton Times, NJ.COM, Administrative Office of the Court INFONET, Township Union bulletin boards, Mercer County Court Violation windows and NJ Division of Fire Safety Fire Prevention Groups via email.
