Dear Vernon Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Our office is in receipt of your OPRA request dated September 14^th, 2025,
and received September 15^th, 2025. As such the seven business days to
respond is September 24^th, 2025.
You have requested the following:
“Body worn camera footage of all traffic stops performed on 7-30-25.”
The following is the Police Department’s response in regard to your
requests:
The responsive redacted BWC videos from officers are too large to be sent
via email. A thumb drive is available for pickup on a USB drive at our
records window (Police Records, 21 Church Street, Vernon NJ 07462). You
have allocated $0 as your maximum authorized cost. In order to obtain the
videos, there is a $7.80 fee for the actual cost of the USB storage device
if you choose to pick it up. You also may choose to have the USB storage
device sent to you, with applicable postage fees added. Redactions have
been made to ensure citizens reasonable expectation of privacy, see
Burnett v County of Bergen, 198 NJ 408 (2009).
With the receipt of this email, your OPRA request has been deemed complete
by the Police Department on September 23^rd, 2025.
