Dear [email address],

Under Lakewood's municipal code, Chapter 4, I am referring to sections 4-1.1; 4-1.2; 4-1.4; 4-1.5; 4-2.1 and 4-2.2, which detail business licenses. In addition, please refer to a previous OPRA request, OPRA-2019-00011, which states these business records were provided at that time in January 2019. So, since these records were provided easily in January 2019, the list should be able to be provided again in March 2022.

Municipal code 4-1.1 states this: "The purpose of this section is to provide a uniform set of procedures for administering the issuance, renewal and revocation of licenses issued by the Township Clerk."

Municipal code 4.2 is titled Business Licenses. Chapter 4-2.1 defines a business as this: "BUSINESS
Shall mean any lawful means of earning a livelihood by profession, trade or occupation for profit. It shall include the place or places, premises or vehicle in which such profession, trade, or occupation is conducted."

Municipal code 4-2.2 is titled License Required and states this: "It shall be unlawful for any person designated in this section to sell or dispose of, or to offer to sell or dispose of, any goods, wares, merchandise, or render any services for fees within the Township without first registering and obtaining a license and paying the required license fee."

Yours sincerely,

JerseyShoreMan
