In our response on June 17, 2024, we indicated that we anticipated being
able to respond to this request by June 26, 2024.
Our search of records has generated thousands of records that may be
responsive and we are evaluating those results. We respectfully request
additional time to respond.

Dear Requestor (Transparent School Budgets),
On behalf of Custodian of Records Dan Baginski, we are writing to inform
you that a search of our email system using the parameters you identified
in your request yielded more than 10,000 potentially responsive records.
In order to fulfill your request, the OPRA custodian would be required to
review each of these emails to determine if they were responsive, then
conduct a review for any privileged material that needed to be redacted or
withheld, and finally conduct a review for any other redactions
appropriate under the law, such as redactions of personally identifiable
information.
Such a review would be unduly burdensome and substantially disruptive to
our district's operations. Accordingly, we request that you modify the
scope of your request. Otherwise, your request will be denied pursuant to
N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(g), which provides, in pertinent part, “If a request for
access to a government record would substantially disrupt agency
operations, the custodian may deny access to the record after attempting
to reach a reasonable solution with the requestor that accommodates the
interests of the requestor and the agency.”
