Records requested:

1) a copy of all correspondence sent from anyone in the NJ COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE (Kevin Walsh is the Acting State Comptroller) to the Wall BOE including but not limited to Brian Smyth, Tracy Handerhan, Cheryl Dyer, Christine Steitz, Ralph Addonizio requesting information from the Wall BOE.

2) a copy of all correspondence with any and all attachments sent from the Brian Smyth, Tracy Handerhan, Cheryl Dyer, Athina Cornell, Anthony Sciarrillo, Dennis McKeever or anyone from the law firm (Sciarrillo, Merlino, Cornell, McKeever and Osborne) or anyone in the Wall BOE to the Comptroller's Office as per a written request for information and documents. Please include a copy of any and all correspondence sent to them including but not limited to e:mail(s), letter(s), fax, and names of investigators if a telephone conversation took place speaking with an investigator and a summary of the conversation.

The timeframe is January 1, 2018 - May 1, 2024.

Here is another OPRA Mr. Smyth has just ignored. See it below. Why do you continue to allow him to do this as the Superintendent of Wall Public Schools and Wall BOE President?

I see on NJ Courts the Central School Trailer lawsuit was settled on May 30, 2024, but you do not have it on the agenda to be voted on tomorrow. Who is holding this up? I hope you are not waiting until Mr. Smyth's contract is approved or do a hand carry tomorrow so it can never be seen or a printed agenda.

Shockingly, I see Mr. Smyth's salary is on tomorrow's nights agenda for over $206,000. This is $31,000 more than Governor Murphy.

Have the BOE members read the depositions? Have you sent a copy to the Comptroller's Office or AG's Office?

Certainly, Mr. Smyth's employment contract should be on hold and not voted on until we get all of the answers were promised on the Trailers and you post the depositions on the trailers and the settlement agreement.

Mr. Sciarrillo promised every question would be answered on the Trailers, but they never were. Mr. Sciarrillo was also the attorney for the Diploma JIF and Mr. Smyth is a trustee. How convenient!! Instead, Mr. Sciarrillo issued a report he refused to sign and put on his own business letterhead and kept his firms name off of it. You paid him $115,000 anyway. The money as I have said for years now should now be returned.

The trailers were also demolished during an OPEN Criminal Investigation allowed by the BOE. Mr. Smyth, Mr. Nasr and Mr. Gross certainly knew they could not be.

Brian Smyth:

Your OPRA response I received tonight at 4:46 PM is absurd. The BOE president Christine Steitz wrote a letter to Kevin Walsh Comptroller (see her letter of May 15, 2024). Ms. Steitz mentioned a prior inquiry by the Comptroller's Office you now pretend you can't locate it yet and need an extension?

I would like this inquiry by them prior to the BOE meeting tonight at 7:30 PM without any more ridiculous excuses.
