On December 4, 2019 the N.J. Attorney General issued a directive establishing county policies to comply with Brady v. Maryland and Giglio v. United States.

I am requiring copies of any policies and/directives that the prosecutors office has created as a result of this directive as well as any officers identified to date that fall within these guidelines.

Dear Ms. Prestia,

In light of recent changes made by the Attorney General regarding Internal Affairs Policies and the releasing of names of officers who receive “major discipline” as a form of discipline for improper behavior, I ask that you reconsider the denied portion of my request. The portion which asks for anyone who has already been identified as a Brady/Gigilio Officer. The new directive was to create transparency in the IA system and lessens the classified status of certain officers IA complaints and penalties.
