Hello,
The City of Hackensack Clerk's Office is in receipt of your recent OPRA
request (our reference #24-1006) received on June 17, 2024 which seeks
certain records from the City of Hackensack. The seventh business day
from receipt of this request is today, June, 27, 2024.
The City has been able to identify responsive footage records pertaining
to your request, some of which may contain personal information protected
under OPRA. These records are currently under review. The City requires
additional time to respond to your OPRA request. OPRA allows custodians to
seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i. Specifically,
OPRA states that, "the requestor shall be advised by the custodian when
the record can be made available. If the record is not made available by
that time, access shall be deemed denied."
At this time, the City is requesting a seven (7) business day extension
from the original due date of the request. We anticipate that the City
will have an update regarding your request by Tuesday, July 9, 2024. The
City also reserves the right to request an additional extension of time,
if necessary. See Scheeler v. New Jersey Department of Educ., GRC
Complaint No. 2014-123 (Feb. 2016).
