Bodycam footage request
Dear Pennsauken Police Department,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, I request all body-worn camera (BWC) footage related to the following case:
Case / Incident #: 25-025584
Charge document: 0427-W-2025-000363
Incident Date & Time: May 17, 2025 at approximately 07:07
Arrest Date: May 18, 2025
This request includes BWC footage of the arrest, search, transport, any breathalyzer or medical testing, booking/intake, and any questioning or interrogation inside the police facility.
Only body-worn camera footage is requested (no dashcam or surveillance video).
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

Please be advised, the Pennsauken Police Dept. have informed us that there
is over 14 hours of video that will need to be reviewed for redactions. As
such, due to the extraordinary expenditure of time, a special service
charge will be required.
Per OPRA, using the lowest hourly pay of the person able to do the work
($32.39), and the estimate of 14 hours of work, the total charge will be
$453.46. A 50% deposit($226.73) would be required. This is an estimate.
The amount may increase or decrease once work is complete and we know how
much time was needed.
You are not being charged at this time. Per OPRA, requestors have the
right to review any charges and approve or deny them. Once we receive your
approval, the 50% deposit will be required before work can begin. Once
work is completed, the other 50% would be due.
If we do not receive a response by 6/4, this request will be closed.
