Under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.), I request body-worn camera (BWC) recordings only related to the arrest of Justin Flavien, 22, of Maywood, New Jersey, on January 21, 2025, when officers from the Maywood Police Department took Flavien into custody in connection with multiple swatting calls made in August 2024 that prompted law enforcement responses to false emergencies at two residences in Parkland, Florida. The arrest followed a coordinated investigation between the Maywood Police Department and the Broward Sheriff's Office Threat Management Unit, which included the execution of search warrants at Flavien's residence and the seizure of multiple electronic devices.
This request is limited to the single on-scene arrest and search warrant execution at Flavien's residence in Maywood, NJ on January 21, 2025. I do not seek any BWC from subsequent proceedings, extradition to Broward County, or unrelated incidents.
