Dear Eatontown Borough,

Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA) and common law right to know, I am writing to request a copy of the body-worn camera (BWC) footage for the following incident:

Location: Target / TJ Maxx shopping complex in Eatontown, NJ

Date of Incident: September 22, 2023

Approximate Time: Daytime hours

Persons Involved: Officer Scout (Eatontown Police Department) and individual Maria Joya.

Incident Description: Arrest regarding an alleged shoplifting incident involving a breast pump and retail merchandise.

Please provide the responsive bodycam footage from Officer Scout and any other responding units linked to this specific arrest and processing timeline.

If your department is not the correct repository for these records, please kindly forward this request to the appropriate department or city agency that handles these files.
