Board of ed information regarding busing
Dear Monroe Township (Middlesex),
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
1. I was made aware of emails between the MTEA President, members of the MTEA and the district administration. I a requesting all emails to and from Berhanne Augsbach in April and May 2024 regarding the coach buses being canceled for field trips in the district. The emails explain the concerns of the staff members upon learning that they would be riding on contracted school buses and not Coach buses as originally planned.
This is not an overly broad request as I am requesting specific emails. Under the OPRA laws, these emails are public record and should be provided without delay to members of the public.
2. Email from May 23, 2024
Subject: Contracted bus for field trip
To: Chari Chanley, Adam Layman, Bethanne Augsbach, Dawn Graziano, Laura Allen
3. Records of busing changes from 2008 through 2024 for contract busing. How many buses were contracted by year.
4. Any information regarding contract bus company ownership and links to board members and/or husbands or board members.
5. Any and all emails from Michael Gorski to board admin and board members between 2022 and December 2024.
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
Yours faithfully,
Ken Chiarella
